Deploying to OpenShift Using Snap-CI
As I mentioned in my last post, my project is using OpenShift, and so far, we love it. Another tool we’re using is Snap-CI, which has incredibly seamless deployments to Heroku and AWS.
Deploying a Rails App with OpenShift
My current project is a Rails codebase that is deploying to OpenShift. Overall we’ve been very pleased with OpenShift, however, it’s a little misleading how the first thing you see when you sign up is a prompt to deploy your first application by simply providing a link to the hosted code on GitHub.
A meal fit for a mountain climber
At the end of last year I summited my third volcano in Ecuador. Volcanic climbs here are the same every time: initial optimism followed by exhaustion as the grass disappears, giving way to slippery volcanic silt for the final ascent. The descent is a blur, punctuated only by conversation about what we’d like to eat once we’re off the mountain.
